Enrollment Monitoring Committee
An Enrollment Monitoring Committee (EMC) has been established by the District
220 School Board. The EMC will monitor enrollment at the
district's schools and develop redistricting recommendations
as necessary to minimize overcrowding in schools.
The EMC is comprised of 33 voting members, including three from each elementary
school attendance area in the district. The EMC will be
using current enrollment numbers, enrollment projections,
and attendance area maps, as well as input from district
and school administrators and Barrington Transportation
Company to make their recommendations. Additionally, EMC
members have toured district schools and have adopted a
set of Guiding Principles to assist in future decision
making processes. The EMC Charter and Guiding Principles is available on this web site.
