| Snowflake 2009 |
| Snowflake will be held on February 11th. This annual Prairie event focuses on a variety of topics related to adolescent concerns such as friendship, self-esteem, drugs, and alcohol. Registration deadline is December 3rd. |

| Teen Food & Fitness Monthly Publication |
| The Nurse's office is happy to announce a new resource for parents - "Teen Food and Fitness". This monthly publication, which discusses healthy ideas for middle and high school students, can be found on the nurse's webpage. |

| SMART Boards |
| This year, the focus of the Prairie PTO No-Stress fundraiser will be the purchase and installation of 35 SMART Boards. Please take a moment to learn more about the use of SMART Boards at BMSP and to view a video of how this technology benefits our classrooms. |

Girls Volleyball |
| There will be an open gym for all 7/8 girls interested in trying out for volleyball on Dec. 2nd from 3-4:20pm. |
7th Grade Tryouts:
- January 6 & 7th - 6:30-7:30am
- January 8 & 9th - 2:50 - 4:20pm in the small gym. |
8th Grade Tryouts:
- January 6 & 7th - 2:50 - 4:20pm in the small gym.
-January 8 & 9th - 6:30 - 7:30am. |
| Tryouts START at 6:30am. All girls should be ready to go by 6:30. All girls trying out for volleyball must have a sports physical on file with the nurse. |

The media center is now open in the mornings at 7:15am for any student that needs access to computers or library resources.
