Technology
has become a critical part of a student's learning experience. Through computers and the internet, students are able to explore their world, create evidence of their learning and access volumes of information in a way never before possible.
Beyond computer literacy, District 220 is dedicated to fostering 21st Century Skills in students, and using these skills to help all learners connect with curriculum in new and exciting ways. All learners must learn to be active, responsible and effective technology users.
Our district has
made every effort to provide staff and students with adequate technology resources, including desktop computer labs, mobile laptop carts, and a robust network, capable of accessing online research databases, multimedia, and interactive experiences.
Technology at District 220 includes a number of dedicated professionals who concentrate on networking, internet technologies, data warehousing, technology deployment and technical support.
Beyond this, the instructional technology and media services teams work to provide guidance and training for staff, as they work with technology.
